What Causes Cough Along With Yellow And Green Phlegm?

Hi! I m Diona and I need some help from someone who knows what my symptoms are and maybe what might be wrong with me. I have been sick in my lungs for over a month and a half. I cough and cough some more and cough up yellow and green flem I have taken antibiotics of different kinds over and over, it clears up some but as soon as the meds are out of my system it comes back with a vengeance! Help!

Hi,

To my opinion very likely you are having these symptoms due to sinus infection as this can cause recurrent infection with phlegm. You can do some nose lavage with saline solution daily and also take some nasal steroids to reduce local inflammation and oral Loratadine 10 mg at night.

Meanwhile it might be advisable to have a chest x-ray to rule out lung infection.
