What Causes Cough And Cold With Histroy Of Pneumonia?

Hi doctor My son was diagnosed with pneumonia earlier this year. He got treated for it. As of last night , he s had a cough and runny nose. He s cough sounds raspy. And he complained of pain in he s through . I m just wondering if this can someone be linked back to he s pneumonia from earlier this year . Thank your for your time.

Hi welcome to the health care magic

Your child work up done in following ways...
-CBC
-Auscultation
-If needed chest x ray done

If Auscultation detect rales than pneumonia like Lung infection might be the cause....
For which antibiotic given if proves bacterial...

If if is bronchiolitis or bronchoconstriction than rhonchi will be heard...
For that bronchodilator and antibiotic given..
If severe constriction than nebulization given with levosalbutamol....

Warm water used for drinking

One tsp turmeric powder with milk helpful

Take care

Consult pediatrician or pulmonologoist for examination and further work up
