What Causes Cough And Congestion Despite Taking DOLO-650?

Hi Doctor,I had sneezing and running nose(yellowish) since day before yesterday night. Yesterday I took dolo-650 all 3 times of the day. Today running nose has reduced, but I have cough with phlegm. Is it okay to continue the DOLO-650 usage for today?

As per your complain it seems that you are suffering from upper respiratory tract infection also known as common cold and is due to viral infection..

Dolo 650 contains Acetaminophen and it can help in reducing temperature if you are experiencing rise in temperature as well as it will relieve pain and aches..

You can continue taking the same but along with it you also need to take anti allergics like levocetrizine, decongestant like Pseudoephadrine, mucolytics like Ambroxol and along with it do warm saline gargles,steam inhalations and use a humidifier in your room..
Suck throat lozenges and chew a Vitamin C pellet daily..
Avoid spicy and chilled foods..
Take a soft and bland diet and sip on plenty of warm water..
