What Causes Cough And Heart Palpitations After Taking Lisinopril?
im on 25mg of losartan daily been on bp meds now for three years this ismy third bp drug started on lisonopril gave me cough and heart palpataions switched to metroprol made me sleepy every afternoon still ran a bp of 120/90 ish even on meds now on losartan starting to think i feel the palpiations agains a strange chest sentation not pain maybe tight and when laying down tryin to sleep i notice my breathing seems different then it used to be im onlylike 10kbs overweight eat pretty well i want to stop all bp meds and see how i fair another odd feeling is in my neck almost feels likei can feel pulse/pressure sometimes
Ideal BP is 130/80 mm Hg. Target BP should not be below 120/80 mm Hg. In that sense, your BP goal is nearly achieved. Some of your symptoms are due to anxiety overlay. You can go for 2D echocardiography. Losartan can cause a dry cough. If dry cough persist, switch over to other ARB (angiotensin receptor blocker). If you want to get rid of BP medication, you need to shed extra weight.
