What Causes Cough And Pain In The Upper Chest?

Hi. I m 19 years old. Smoker and just got over the flu a couple weeks ago. Still with a small cough. About 3 days ago I started to feel a lingering pain around the top middle of my chest and small jolts and needle point pains in the left shoulder and Left pec.sometimes it occures during a deep breath or yawn.This issue has be causing me to have panic attacks. I feel drained of energy. Please help me out.

Hello,

I think you might be having any lung pathology since you say with a deep breath it affects you then that means its lungs. So please get a chest x-ray done to know what could be the pathology. If there is any problem, then go to a physician for better treatment. If there is no problem, then you could wait. You can stop smoking which might be causing all these problems. Eating nicotine chew gums or nicotine pathic is also better.
