What Causes Cough, Running Nose And Watery Eyes While On Tylenol?

My two year old daughter has been running a temp anywhere from 100.0 to 103.3, I have been giving her IBU AND Tylenol double dosed to bring temps down, she has a terrible cough, runny nose, watery eyes, and is completely miserable, we have had this since new years eve night, about 11:30pm it started the meds seem to work but the minute it wears off her temp spikes again! Do we need to bring her in? I had my son in a 2 weeks ago with same symptoms and they said it was a virus- he's just about 6 what to do?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that your daughter is suffering from Upper Respiratory tract infection commonly known as Common cold and the symptoms of fever,cough, runny nose and watery eyes seems to be due to it only..
I would suggest you to consult a Paediatrician and get her evaluated and he can do a clinical examination and also advise her to continue tylenol and Ibuprofen to reduce fever and inflammation, cough expectorants can be advised to relieve cough and watery eyes..
Saline nasal drops can help in relieving congestion and ease in breathing..
She can also be advised steam inhalations..
Give her warm water to drink..
Give ample of warm fluids and a soft diet..
Ample of rest will help in relieving faster..
