As per your complain white pustules at the back of throat along with sore throat seems to be probably due to a severe case of bacterial throat infection known as Strep Throat.. White pustules are pus pockets that further confirms towards bacterial infection.. As you are taking steroid inhaler and also Prednisone that is again a steroid and white coating at the back of tongue seems to be due to Oral Thrush that is an yeast infection of tongue.. For confirmation consult an Otolaryngologist or an ENT expert and get evaluated.. He can do investigations like Throat swab culture and also microscopy of the coating of the tongue can help in diagnosis.. You can be advised: -Antibiotics like Augmentin OR Azithromycin to resolve the infection.. -Anti-inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen can be taken to relive pain. -----Doing warm saline gargles, steam inhalation and using a humidifier in your room can be very much relieving. -You can also suck throat lozenges to soothe the throat.. -Gargle with numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine.. -Gargle with antiseptic solution like few drops of betadine in water.. -Chew Vitamin C pellets to boost up the immunity.. -Avoid spicy and chilled foods.. -For white coating you can be advised Nystatin mouthwash, Clotrimazole lozenges and oran antifungal medication like Fluconazole with plenty of probiotics like Yoghurt and Garlic..
