What Causes Cough With Jelly Type Vomiting?

sever coughing with wretching and green/yellow jelly type vomiting. Doctor said chest and throat was clear and to go bk in 2 weeks as cnt rule anything more serious out then sent me on my way with nothing. more information can be given if you need it thanks

Hi.
The reasons for severe coughing and green / yellow Jelly Type vomiting are as follows ::
The commonest reason is that there is laxity of the Lower Esophageal Sphincter and laxity of Pylorus ( which joins the stomach with Duodenum.

Due to severe coughing the intra-abdominal pressure is increased to an extent that the Bile in the duodenum reflux back into the stomach and from stomach into the throat causing the green or yellow ( the bile with its typical color).

Take an appropriate medicines like domperidone and cough suppressants to get a relief.
You need to undergo Upper GI Endoscopy to decide about the degree of laxity of the sphincters. to get a proper dose and duration of the medicines required to get a complete relief.
