General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I would suggest you to take a CT chest since certain lesions may not be visible in X-rays.ECG should also be taken to assess the cardiac status. Complete blood count including ESR, CRP should be taken to rule out any chronic infections. Long standing sinusitis, gastro-esophageal reflux disease and any genetic lung defects can also cause chronic cough which should also be ruled out.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
