What Causes Coughing Up Of Black Mucus Post Shoulder Surgery?
I had left shoulder surgery on tuesday and a bone had to be pushed back into place and the bone also had to be cut. I have been taking oxicoton for three days. Is it possible that the medication caused me to cough up black mucus because I started to cough up black mucus today.

This wouldn't be from the medication but it could be from the endotracheal tube you had during the surgery and you may have either bleeding from your lungs or pneumonia so you need to let your doctor know about this right away
