What Causes Coughing Up Of Blood And Mucus Along With Fever?
My husband has been coughing up nasty mucus for several days. Many times it has blood in it. He was at his physician Thursday (today is Tuesday) and she said his lungs were clear and he just had a head cold. At that time he did have fever, chills, body ach, cough. Since then the bloody mucus. Should we be concerned?

get the sputum test done to diagnose tuberculosis and x-ray and blood tests to rule out pneumonia. avoid smoking and alcohol
