My sister found out she has lung cancer. a tumor pressing on artery to heart. she has been having chemotherapy treatments every three weeks. the last dose was this past Friday. They told her Tuesday she has phnemonia. Last night she was coughing up clumps of blood.... can you tell me what that could be from

The blood can be due to either the cancer or the infection (pneumonia). Either of these can cause bleeding to occur.
Additionally , chemo can sometimes affect some of the blood counts such as the platelets (may not be the case for her), and this increases the risk for bleeding
