What Causes Coughing Up Of Blood While Suffering From COPD?

I have copd and in the last couple of months was hospitalised because I was coughing up large amounts of blood.I had mastectomy twenty years ago.Have had two broncoscopys the first one showed a small clot.The second one was clear but my Doctors don t know what caused it.

I really appreciate your concern, in case of COPD such symptoms of blood stain sputum is very likely if this is persistence or high amount of blood is there then it need to be investigated, hope this information helps, take care.
