Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Right now I m sick and I ve been coughing sometimes I cough up mucus but what s happening is I might cough real hard about 3 or 5 times in a row hard no not every single time but sometimes when I cough hard my left side will tingle from the side of my head all the way down my leg it only lasts a couple of seconds as soon as I stopped off and it goes away so can you please tell me what this is
I was wondering which is the cause of the productive cough. Usually, we don't recommend suppressive medications for the cough with phlegm only for cough without secretion.
However, I am sure that your treating doctor knows better your clinical situation.
Yes, you can use them without any problem but not for a long time and if lung problems are excluded as the cause of this kind of cough.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Ivan R. Rommstein, General Surgeon
