What Causes Coughing?

Hi. Been coughing fairly often for 2 1/2 days. I am an allergy sufferer but am not experiencing any symptoms with the cough and have only experienced light coughing when my allergies act up. I have no fever and have not been sick with cold or flu. I do live in an agricultural valley in Central Calif so I chalk a lot of my allergy symptoms to the valley. My current cough is not heavy (doesn t seem to be settling in my lungs) and I ve never been a smoker. What up?

I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due to allergy or laryngopharyngeal reflux. Taking proton pump inhibitors like esomeprazole ( Nexium ) and combination of anti histamines like levocetirizine and mast cell stabilzers like monteleukast will be helpful. Avoid contact with allergens like dust and pollens if possible.
