What Causes Cracking Noise In The Neck?

Earlier I had my hand on my neck and I was concerned when I herd a crack noise. Just below the jaw the windpipe seemed to be out of place compared to the reminder of my windpipe. using my finger and thump I pushed slightly and notice that I could move it back and forth accompanied by more popping and grinding. is this normal?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think you had a jaw joint dislocation. I think should go to ER to check this out by an orthopedic specialist. Avoid further movements with your fingers.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini,
