What Causes Cracking Sound In Back Followed By Acute Pain And Skin Rash?

Threeweekd S ago I was finishing my excercise routine..on the last of my lazy press ups and I heard a crack..quite acute pain followed an a skin rash appeared.It has got slightly better bit still very painful. I am 82 and have done these as,me excercise said for 20 yrs 3 weeks ago YYYY@YYYY

Thanks for asking at healthcare magic. I read your question and I understand your concern.
Acute pain followed by skin rash points towards two things.
1. muscle sprain followed by inflammatory skin reaction
2. Herpes zoster also called shingles. as old age is immunocompromized state and it occurs in immunocompromized.
I would better explain if image of affected area was available. Any how if it's vesiculobullous skin rash then definitely it's herpes needs antiviral like acyclovir 800 mg five times a day for seven days if within 48 hours. Also take some skin soothing agents like calamine lotion or polyfaxplus.. also take pain killers like diclofenac sodium 50 mg BD wit two glasses of water plus pregabalin 75 mg BD as neuropathic pain releiver.
Pain killers will also help in management of acute inflammation due to trauma.
