What Causes Cracking Voice And Gel Like Balls In Cough?
My voice is cracking constantly, like when you go to speak and find you have to clear your throat. Even then it doesn t help sometimes. It started around a month ago and I have also noticed I have been coughing up these clear, gel-like balls. I m 19, 5 1 , 150 lbs and I am not a smoker and have never been a smoker.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of upper respiratory tract infection which is spreading down. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to
- Do warm saline gargles several times a day and apply warm compresses to throat externally.
- Avoid intake of outside food.
I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis without any delay otherwise infection will reach lungs. Doctor may order throat swab test and blood test . Doctor may prescribe antibacterial at least for 10 days along with anti inflammatory medications.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
