Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My left ear has began to have a crackling/blown out speaker sound in the last week or so. I notice it mostly when I am laying in bed at night it appears to be random but happens several times throughout the night. I have not had any injuries or anything lately that would cause this so I am confised as to what is going on?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have crackling sound in left ear which could be due to Eustachian tube dysfunction. It could be due to enlarged adenoids or sinusitis. I would suggest you to visit ENT specialist once and go for thorough examination of nasopharynx to rule out above mentioned causes. and start treatment as per proper diagnosis. You should go for audiometer examination as well. Till then avoid excessive blowing. You should take Eprisone , sedative and antibiotics. Put nasal saline and ear drops. Take tablet tablet levocetrizine with phenylephrine once at night and use nasal sprays as well. For now drink green teat thrice a day and take proper rest. Do warm saline gargles.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
