What Causes Cramping And Heavy Bleeding After A Pap Smear?
Hi, I went to the doctor friday cause I had my first yeast infection and during the exam my doctor preformed a pap smear. I was told I could experience spotting over the next day or two. As soon as I got home I was bleeding not spotting and it was a deep read with some clumbs and I was cramping. It s been 5 days and I still have the same symptoms. I was vacuuming my house and I started to get horrible cramps today. I am worried something might be wrong and I m due to start my peroid in about 2-5 days so I m unsure if I should be worried but I don t think all this bleeding and cramping is due to my period since It started over a week before I was due to have it. I m not bleeding too heavily as needing to change a tampon or pad every hour but when I pee it pours out of me in a good amount, in this constant stream.
Hi, Normally it does not bleed after pap smear or just spotting. In your case ,most probably either there is cervical has eroded or there is swelling at the tip of cervix.Take some analgesics and anti-inflammatoryx drugs to get relief from cramping. You have not mentioned about your marital status so please revert back with pap smear report .
