Hi,

I guess your concern is about cramping and pink discharge on and off and getting pregnant after miscarriage. Firstly let us discuss about your cramping and pink like discharge on and off. You had miscarriage on 20th oct, 2010, but you did not give the information that is the miscarriage is complete (explusion of all product of conception from the womb) or incomplete ( retained products inside the womb). So I can't comment on this. In case of incomplete miscarriage there is usually a cramp like pain in lower abdomen, and blood or pink like discharge on and off. And if it gets infected then it will cause fever and foul smelling discharge.

Do not take tension. If there is complete miscarriage then, its a good thing. Secondly I want to tell you to do urinary pregnancy test (UPT), as you told that you haven't got your period yet, may be you are pregnant. Yes, you can get pregnant again after miscarriage.

Suggestions:

1. To confirm that the miscarriage is complete or incomplete, visit to your treating doctor or nearby gynecologist. He/she can examine you and advise

2. Sometimes after complete miscarriage there is red bits or pink like discharge occurs for 6-7 days, so you can wait for few more days and keep patience.

3. Do the UPT as early as possible to rule out pregnancy. If it is negative then nothing to worry. If it is positive and you are having red bits or pinkish discharge then it a bad sign because it can threaten miscarriage.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Sudha Rani Panagar
