What Causes Cramping In Brain And Soreness In Neck?
I was asleep and I was awaken by a cramp like feeling at my brain stem area that went right to the top of my head. My neck is sore to touch and I have been having a stiff neck neck and cramps in my neck today. Another quick one just started below my ears and went to the top of my head. What is happening? Toni
Hello Toni, The symptoms that you are telling me are something related to numbness that is caus ed due to constant pressure that might have happened due to abnormal sleeping posture .There are a set of nerves that are present over the back of the neck that might be compressed while you are asleep .Apply some hot compress in the area to releive the pain and some soft pillow while you sleep ,analgesics, good sleep postures will be helpful .After a few days the pain might subside ,if it persists consult a orthopedician who might examine you and do further investigations if nessessary and may advise physiotherapy if necessary.Hope this suggestions might be helpful.
