What Causes Cramps And Brown Vaginal Spotting After Discontinuing Depo-Shot?

Hi☺ I ve been having a bit of trouble. Not understanding my body. First off i would like to start of and say i have been on the depo for the passed 3 years. And i recently stopped it in February maybe. The doctor told me that it will take a while for me to regulate again. And last month i started getting cramps and realized there was a blood stain in my underwear. And today i started getting cramps. I put on a tampon and when i took it out and it wasnt really like blood. It was light brown spotted on the tampon..please help! I need to know if its my period regulating or if something is wrong

Hi,

I think you should wait for some months before your period will get regular again. There is nothing wrong with you it is just a side effect of the medication.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
