Hi I m 18 and I woke up this morning and I was having severe cramps and felt suddenly dizzy as to where I had to close my eyes it was so bad. I ten felt nasseaus and began to dry heave I never vommited. I then felt extremely dizzy and hot and I began to pour sweat. I had to lay down to to stop the dizziness. The cramps and nasseau went away. It all last eat about 20 minutes and stopped.
After reading your post, it seems that you might have suffered from vasovagal attack. This can be triggered by severe pain and is associated with the symptoms you have mentioned. The vasovagal attack results in sudden fall in blood pressure leading to decreased blood supply to brain resulting in unconsciousness.
Whenever such attack occurs, the patient should be lied down with head end lower than the legs. This result in increased blood flow to the brain and the symptoms are cured. This explains the fact that you felt better on lying down.
I would advise that you should get yourself clinically examined and investigated. You should monitor your blood pressure and pulse rate and get an ECG done along with hemoglobin levels. Also take care of your diet and maintain hydration.
