What Causes Cramps, Headache And Fever After Taking Contraceptive Pill?
Hi my name is ariyana. My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex and he ejaculated in me when condom broke on a Saturday (3am) , then I had to find a way to buy the pill because I was scared and I ve taken an emergency contraception within 48 hours . Which was on a Monday (June 29)at 11am ...I started having cramps, headaches, and high temperature the next day (Tuesday June 30) and continued Wednesday July 1 and today (Thursday July2)my last period was June 8 which means I had unprotected sex almost 2 weeks later (Saturday June 27) could I be pregnant? My cervical mucus was also sticky and creamy
If you took the emergency contraception, the chances of pregnancy are very low. The cramps and headaches can be related to the use of the emergency pill. The fever, instead, is not related to the use of this pill. So, I suggest to do further examination such as a urine test to confirm the origin of the fever. Meanwhile, I suggest using a spasmolytic in case that you continue having cramps. To exclude completely the possibility of a pregnancy you should do the Beta HCG test.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
