What Causes Cramps In The Lower Abdomen After Taking I-Pill Post Intercourse?
Hey. I am 20 years old. 27th September we had the intercourse. 29th morning I took ipill. My period was due on 9th October. But its 20 october, there s no sign of bleeding. I am experiencing cramps in my lower abdominal. Does that mean I am pregnant? Please help.
The post coital contraceptives ("emergency contraceptives") like I-Pill are 85% effective in preventing unwanted pregnancy if taken within 72 hours following an unprotected sex.
Since you had unprotected sex during your most fertile period and the symptoms of lower abdominal camps with delayed period are suggestive of an early pregnancy.
So, get the home pregnancy test done and consult a gynecologist.
Hope this answers your query.
