What Causes Cramps In The Lower Abdomen And Diarrhea?

My daughter, age 25 has had lower gut cramping, runny stools and weight loss. Any solid foods seems to cause cramping a few hours after eating. Her blood tests came back negative for viruses and bacteria. Her stool samples had blood and higher level of protein than normal. She had a colonoscopy and biopsy - all normal although her colon was more twisted than normal. Any thoughts?

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Hello,

Could it be a thyroid dysfunction? All symptoms are the same. She should get a blood test done for that.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Harshita, Ophthalmologist
