What Causes Cramps In The Right Calf While On Simvastatin?

I have been taking simvastatin for around ten yrs. two weeks ago I started having what feels like cramps or Charlie horse in first my right calf and then by the next day both calves. I first thought I might be reacting to levaquin which I was taking for upper resp infection. I asked my pharmacist and he immediately said there was a high probability that it was the simvastatin. What is your thought?

Dear sir statins are known to cause myopathy and tendinitis however you have been taking it for years now so the possibility of getting symptoms now is less, you need to do some blood work like LDH, CPK, vitamin D Level and thyroid functions which will tell us what problems is and also start calcium supplements.
