I have been lately feeling strange sensations as well things crawling on my head and when I m around people I feel weird sensation or pain in my body when they pass me or are near me it only happen sometimes but not with everyone. Then it feels like I m going away or confuse if I change my clothes it feels worse
Crawling sensation in the head associated with weird sensation when people are around may be caused by side effects of medications, substance abuse, neurological issues, delusional infestations, formication, etc. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP or a Psychiatrist. Get all necessary tests and investigations done to get diagnosed of the pathology causing the symptoms.
You will be treated accordingly. In the meantime, you can take antihistamine, Cetirizine (Zyrtec) or Diphenhydramine (Benadryl) to reduce the crawling sensations. If you are diagnosed with any other medical condition then you will be given treatment for that also. You may be suggested to get in contact of a counselor and physical therapist.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
