What Causes Crescent Shaped Rashes On The Chest, Stomach And Legs?
What causes a crescent shaped rash on chest, stomach and legs? I have a crescent shaped rash on my chest, stomach, and upper legs. On my arms there are two lines side by side bright red and bumpy. I have no fever and the the whole thing started with the two lines side by side at the elbow. Any idea what it could be?
Linear rash on chest, stomach and legs are suggestive of one of the following: Allergic dermatitis. Some blood disorder. This can be diagnosed by the following ways: Consult your Doctor immediately as the real appearance of rash can be diagnostic to the trained eye of the Doctor, do not take anything at home. Doctor on examination will have a clinical diagnosis and if he thinks to be allergic will give you an antihistamine and steroid if needed. If the rash is suspected due to some blood disorder then you will be subjected to detailed blood tests, may be second opinion of a Hematologist and further management as per the cause found.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
