What Causes Crust Formation On Eardrum After Myringotomy?
Hi there i had a myringotomy on my right ear about a week ago my cause there was fluid trapped in my eardrum hence the procedure was successful and my hearing is almost restored fully, but my problem is that i have some sort of crust forming on my eardrum which is probably due to the liquid that was seeping out the ear drum, my question is that should i be concerned about this crust or would it go away by itself?
I think the crust will go away gradually but you can use disinfectant drops such boric acid to disinfect the ear canal and help the crust not to be infected and clean the ear canal.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
