General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI,

It is possible that it is an STD, the most common one that presents in this way would be herpes but that is usually associated with pain through the presentation can vary from one person to the next.

Another infection that can present in this way would be a bacterial infection of the area eg impetigo.

This is not considered an STD but can be contagious and would require a course of antibiotics for effective treatment.

It would be best to see your doctor for assessment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Michelle Gibson James, General & Family Physician
