Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Just found out through a ct scan that i have a 9mm cyst in my uterine cervix. How common are these and should i be worried. I ve had very tiny cysts in my ovaries for the past 10 years. I get sharp pains from my ovaries on occasion now. dr only prescribed for those take tylenol and use a heating pad. i have no current pain where they found the 9mm cyst.
It is very small(non cancerous) cyst and as of now only follow up is required. It is harmless one and generally does not cause any complications and thus surgery is not required generally.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain
