Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have what I think is a cyst on my eyelash line, close to the inside corner. It's been there for months, and is very slowly getting bigger. People think I have sleep in my eye. It doesn't hurt, but I'd like to remove it. When I went for a routine eye test recently, the doctor there said that its not something he would deal with. Who would I see?
As per your query you have cyst on the eye lash ,which is slowly getting bigger . Well there can be many reason for symptoms you mention in query like sebaceous gland cyst , pimple or chalazion . A chalazia is a lump in the upper or lower eyelid caused by inflammation of a gland of the lid. It may be soft and fluid-filled or firmer . I would suggest you to don’t try to squeeze or pop a stye or chalazion ( this can increase your risk for infection and can also spread bacteria to your other eye ) and holding a warm compress on it for 10 minutes up to four times per day . If condition doesn't get improve or get worse then consult ophthalmologist for proper diagnosis . Doctor puncture it in order to drain the infected fluid , doctor may prescribe an antibiotic cream to put on your eyelid . Doctor may remove it surgically , prescribe anti inflammatory and give steroid injection .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
