What Causes Dark And Painful Urination While Treating Diabetes?

I work outside everyday and sweat a lot. I drink 8 to 10 bottles of water everyday and a couple of bottles of power-aid. today I started urinating really dark urin and have to go a lot and it hurts when I go. I have type 2 diabetes and missed my metformin this morning. But have missed it before and not had a problem. Am I dehydrated that bad or could something else be wrong ?

Hello,

In my opinion, dark urine may be due to infection from bladder, kidney or urinary tract.

I would like to give some tests:

1. Urine analysis
2. Complete Blood Test

I would like to give start this medicine: Amoxicillin twice a day for 14 days

For fever, Paracetamol when needs.

Please continue anti-diabetic medications. Eat a good healthy diet and keep yourself hydrated.

Please post the results here so that a doctor can follow you and can give the next course of treatment if required.
