Hi, thanks for using HCM.
Delayed periods, if you are sexually active first i would like to rule to
miscarriage, get urine
pregnancy test done. If it comes out positive need to consult gynecologist for further management.
Once pregnancy is ruled out other possible reason would be hormonal imbalance. In a delayed period, endometrium will be well formed, resulting in more bleeding, which is common, not to worry.
presence of uterine fibroids can also lead to prolonged and heavy bleeding.
so, you visit local gynecologist and get
ultrasound done which will rule out local pathology,
then you can take tablets for stoppage of bleeding.
if same thing repeats in the next cycles also you have to go for hormonal evaluation like estrogen,
progesterone, LH, FSH,
prolactin etc, which will possibly find out abnormality in higher centers like hypothalamo pituitary axis.
hope this helps you.
Regards
