General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Plan B is a high dose of progestin and so it can throw off the period and make it irregular both in timing and flow. Dark brown blood just means that there was less flow and so it sits in the vagina longer and gets oxidized from red to brown.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
