What Causes Dark Circles, Pigmentation On The Neck And Face?
hi doctor i am amit bhardwaj...i am having severe darkening over neck and startd darkening over face too..this is because of much exposure to the sun...there was a doctor who once suggested me to use glaya HQ cream during nights and i used it for a month or more with vit c tablets but after stopping that cream i got severe darkening over the face...and now i have got severe dark circles too though i have a very healthy eating and thinking habits...please suggest something

Hi there Amit.
There are numerous causes for darkening of skin over the neck & face. The commonest of them would be Acanthosis Nigricans, Photoallergic dermatoses, Lichen planus pigmentosus, Ashy dermatoses etc to name but a few.
In your case, it appears to be a mix of the 1st 2 conditions named & an allergic reaction possibly to the hydrquinone component in the Glyaha cream you usd. One will require some good photos of the region & possibly a skin biopsy to clinch the diagnosis & the treatment will depend on the causative or implicated agents. Please do not use any hydroquinone based creams or solutions or soaps. Please use this HCM portal & consult a dermatologist in more detail using our premium segment or visit one nearest you.
Dark circles are a different cup of tea literally & need further evaluation. When all else fails, I have found great results with Carbondioxide insufflation therapy but requires some skill in experienced hands.
