What Causes Dark Circular Patches All Over The Body?

Hello last month I discovered weird circular patches on my skin that is slightly darker than the rest of my skin. Over the past month a few more have appeared on my body and am curious of what it is. It does not itch or cause any pain however it s making my body look horrid and it won t come out in the shower any help ??

Hello,
Thanks for the query,

The symptoms you mention are probably Pityriasis Rosea which can lead to development of red itchy round to oval rashes mainly over the trunk, upper arms and thigh area .

Pityriasis Rosea is harmless and self limiting skin condition.

Most of the cases do not require any treatment , condition usually resolve in 1-2 months .

Take some over the counter anti histamine drug like benadryl .

If condition persist for longer times then consult dermatologist for proper diagnosis .

Doctor may order various skin test and prescribe steroid cream like cortisone .
