What Causes Dark Coloured Stools After A Gastroscopy Procedure?
Hi I had a gastrocopy done and biopsies were taken, the doctor said everything is normal, how ever I had esophagus pain and could eat for two days however I feel much better now. On the other hand now my stool is very dark, is that something I should worry about?
It is due to minor mucosal bleeding that can happen during the procedure. Nothing much to worry and it will settle by itself. No definite treatment is required.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
