What Causes Dark Grey Stools?
Recently I had dark grey stools in the form of diarrhea, I also vomited once and this lasted three days. I went to the e.r. and they said it was probably the peptobismal or Imodium I had taken, the thing is the stool colors happened before I took any medicine and the only other med I take is adderal. The stools are normal now but what could this be? Also the stools were sand like but dark like grey coal.

Well come to HCM
Stool color goes on changing some time according to the diet or some medicine taken this comes to normal one as soon as you stop the thing taking and this is nothing to worry if this does not cause any symptoms and this may not be treated unless proved some pathology and for that you need to get done the stool examination, take care and have a nice day.
