Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, my husband has a dark patch of skin about 3.5cm diameter in between his eyebrows. Doesn t hurt but looks like a deep bruise and has been there for months. Has tried salacylic acid, not gone. Also cortisone cream, not gone. Looks to me like a fungus?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have dark patch of skin between eyebrows. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like seborrheic keratosis , freckles or lentigenes. I would suggest you to apply ice compresses , protect it from direct sun light , take anti histamine like benadryl and do not apply any cosmetic product on it . Also apply kojic acid cream twice a day . If condition doesn't get well then consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor examine physically or may take sample for lab test . Doctor may prescribe retinoids or recommend chemical peeling .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
