Hi everyone! I am 24 years old and got circumsicion a year back because of tight foreskin. I have started noticing changes on my glans penis getting dry a lot and there is dark patch on it since 3-4months . I dont have ictching nor there is any pus but its just a dark patch. And also after circumsicion i am not sexually active, before circumcision i was and doctor had tested me for STD which i was not having and he said i was jst having fungal infection which will get away after circumsicion and he also gave me some antifungal cream. So my problem is this dark patch .what can it be? Waiting for the reply. Thank you.
This is a fungal infection as the previous doctor said, these are easy to come but difficult to get rid of, if you were to visit my clinic I would suggest: 1) Maintain proper hygeine in the groin area, wash with soap and water 2) Dry it properly and not let it wet due to sweat 3) Keep using the anti-fungal ointment at least for 6 month 4) If there was no response I would prescribe you Tab. Itraconazole 200 mg daily for at least 6 months 5) These are prescription medicines, kindly visit a dermatologist for the same complaint
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
