Hello, I am 19, my height is 5 4, and my weight is 269.7 pounds. I have a history of mental illness and PCOS (polysistic ovarian syndrome) I am here to ask a question about a new dark pigmentation on the side of my mouth. I thought that it was just dried up drool during sleep that I never cleaned properly or something but the mark just stayed there. I wonder if this has something to do with my weight because I have gained a lot of weight in a short amount of time recently due to the harmonal imbalence I have from the PCOS. What do you think?
Yes, PCOS can cause hyperpigmentation. This is due to an increased insulin level in the blood. Which causes hyperpigmentation patches.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
