Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. Dark purple area on the roof of the mouth can be due to an allergic reaction causing inflammation and dark spots. The allergic reaction can be due to any food product or any medication side effects.

It can also be due to injury to a minor salivary gland or its ducts leading to spillage of its contents in the soft tissues leading to spillage of its contents into the soft tissues or burn due to hot food or drink.

I would suggest you to consult an pediatrician and get evaluated . Doctor may prescribe antihistamine along with analgesic.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
