What Causes Dark Red Broken Vein Like Spots On My Lower Arms?
70 year old male, taking medication for heart condition, multiple vitamins and omega 3 salmon fish oil, got few days ago some dark red spots on the lower arms and they look like blood vessels that broke, or like someone would have hit him and the next day he would get these type of brooses.

Varicose veins are enlargement of legs veins due to weakened vessel wall and insufficiency of vein valves. It is usually caused by long standing, obesity and genetic factors. Such veins break easily and hematomas may occur even after minor trauma. It should be treated as usual with ice compresses, resting, bandages with pressure, and elastic stockings.
