What Causes Dark Skin Discoloration And Soreness On The Fingers?
I pinched a finger about two months ago. It tore the skin down to the tendon. I received ten stitches in an urgent care facility. Once it started to heal it formed blisters witches poped and all of the skin that was pinched died . Thick layers, it looked like raw hide. Witch eventually peeled and I was left with new skin. Witch is now dead and darkening and leatherizing again . Is this a normal process! Will it keep happening?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
It seems nerve & vessel supplying the finger are damaged during the trauma. the blisters & itching you had while healing, show possibility of uncontrolled diabetes with tissue damage of the finger/ infection of the part. Get your blood sugar checked & consult a diabetalogist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
