What Causes Dark Skin On Upper Lips After Waxing?

Hi doctor, I waxed my upper lips this morning and it s been almost 10 hours now it s still burning. My skin has turned a bit dark on the lips and I m not sure whether it s a burn or the wax is still on my skin. Please help. What should I do ? I can t laugh eat or talk.

you were not suppose to wax the upper lip as it is a sensitive skin. you can use moisturizing cream for soothing effect. the darkening is a result of injury to sensitive skin. it may take some time for the discoloration to clear off.
