Hello,

The symptoms you mentioned like dark urine and excessive sweating are clear indicators of dehydration. If we see each symptom separately, the following are the probable causes:
1) Dark urine and excessive sweating can be a symptoms of diabetes Mellitus related hypoglycemia.
2) Dark urine causes:
Dehydration
Usage of medications
Fever
Pheochromocytoma
3) Excessive sweating is seen in:
Extreme heat

Light periods also called as oligomenorrhoez is seen in:

I would recommend the following to any patient who comes with similar symptoms:
1) Complete blood picture
2) Hemoglobin
3) Fasting and post Prandial, blood sugars
4) HbA1c
5) Thyroid profile

If the symptoms of your daughter persist or worsen even after 1 week, please see a physician for thorough examination and appropriate treatment. Ask her to drink oral rehydration solution more in the place of plain water to replenish the lost salts. Ask her to take iron rich foods or iron supplements.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
