What Causes Darkened Hard Skin On The Foot?

my son got a hard spot in the feet, we took him to podiatrist, he said wart and suggested us to use crygonic treatment, we applied it, after two weeks , now it became black but no clue of new skin grow under the black hard skin, any suggestion if it is actually wart or some thing else

I really appreciate your concern, you need to be very patience because it will be fine but may take some time initially the scar may look black then later on it will come to the natural texture of skin, no need to worry about this, hope this information helps, take care.
